Excavation |
general info |
It was discovered in October 1933 by the Hungarian researcher Laszlo Ede Almasy. It contains cave paintings of floating figures, which are believed that they were created 4000 to 9000 years. During the expedition of 1933 roamed Almasy Gilf Kebir and the Oweinat Sudan to the mountains. The discovery of these and other prehistoric rock paintings at Ain Dua, Karkur Talh and Wadi Sora was the most important result of the expedition. |
